KNP’s strategic priorities are closely linked the government’s 25 Year Environment Plan, with a particular focus on “thriving plants and wildlife” and taking forward a Natural Capital approach, in order that our natural environment is at the centre of decision making, supporting our society and economy.

KNP is also responsible for the Kent Biodiversity Strategy which will be republished in 2019, setting out how the the county of Kent can contribute to achieving the governments ambition to “leave our environment in a better state than we found it”, as set out in the 25 Year Environment Plan.

KNP contributes to achieving objectives within the broader Kent Environment Strategy.
