The story of The Historic Dockyard, Chatham can be discovered in an immersive exhibition of galleries, such as Command of the Oceans and The Ropery. You can explore three historic warships to learn about warship construction, refit and repair and examine important objects related to the Dockyard and the wider maritime world from the collections of Royal Museums Greenwich and Imperial War Museums. As the evening draws in you can enjoy the Chatham Maritime area with it's variety of shops, cinema and restaurants.

Travel
Train – Chatham Train Station then a Bus connection. You can walk the 1.3 miles which will take around 30minutes.
Bus – Chatham Maritime is served by a number of local bus services currently operated by Arriva buses. For the most up-to-date information we advise visiting the Arriva website and entering “Chatham Historic Dockyard” as your destination.
Bicycle – National Cycle Route 1 travels through this area and with a number of cycling opportunities including segregated cycle lanes, exploring has never been easier.
Car – Please use postcode ME4 4TY, Follow the Brown tourist signs (anchor) from Junctions 1, 3 and 4 of the M2 and Junction 6 of the M20. There are a number of parking options around Chatham Maritime. Please observe all Parking restrictions.
