The Paramount Foundation will be delivering a social prescribing and wellbeing festival for Medway.
You can explore and try out a vast amount of Medway services for health and wellbeing all in one place. Whether you’re looking for social groups to support isolation, learning new skills, sports clubs to improve health and wellbeing or to unlock your creativity, There is something here for you.

 

DR FIX: Sticks and Stones Festival

Sponsored by The Big Bike Revival, we will be offering DR FIX sessions for cyclists. You can have your bike checked by a city and guilds qualified mechanic who will perform minor repairs, make adjustments and give you tips about keeping your bike in good working order. Any repairs that are not possible, we will help you find the parts you need and contact information for local bike repair centres.

Bookings will be opening from Monday 1st July 2026

Everyone’s a beginner when they start to cycle.

With more than 140 years’ experience in the saddle, CyclingUK as part of the Big Bike revival in Medway, would like to share the love of cycling, expertise and support with you.

CyclingUK champion a simple belief: that cycling should be fun, inspiring and accessible for all. If you’re looking to get in the saddle for the first time, or want to brush up on some rusty skills, we have all the advice and information you need to get going.

We have included the 5 steps for essential bike maintenance that you can download to your phone. You may also access video tutorials of the maintenance guides.

Are you looking for more information around travelling by bicycle?

A Better Medway will have resources available at the festival to start meaningful discussions with attendees to help find information regarding cycling in Medway.

We have a number of avenues from non-cyclists looking to start cycling with the LEARN2RIDE program, tips on helping you start cycling including what to look for in a suitable bike, maintenance, guides, travel advise and the LEARN2FIX workshops ( how to do roadside repairs) including maintenance guides produced by Cycling UK.
