Hook Meadow: Open Space
Hook Meadow is a greenspace situated close to the village of Walderslade. The recreation Ground is a welcome space that hosts a play park, football pitches and a multi-use games area.
The play area includes swings, swings with toddler seats, swing with a car seat, see-saw and springs ideal for toddlers.
For older children, the multi-use games area can be used for ball games such as basketball and football.
The green space is large enough for two football pitches with goals that are set-up for everyday use.
Hook meadow is only a short walk away from being connected to one of the longer green corridors in Chatham with an entry point adjacent to the area known as Horsted Valley. This walking route can be accessed via the Meadside walk entrance.
Nearby facilities include a library, community centre and food establishments.

Easy access information
There is no restriction on the entrance from Walderslade road near the traffic lights. The entrance from Meadside and walderslade road, adjacent to the library do have a pedestrian width restricter
