Starting Monday 22nd July

We are excited to announce our first ever Active Kent and Medway Challenge this summer. You are invited to join Explore Kent’s ‘King Charles III England Coast Path’ Challenge!

For this Challenge we’re inviting you to log all your walking or wheeling activities throughout the summer. The King Charles III England Coast Path is a trail that, when completed, will form a continuous path around England’s coastline. In Kent, this path is currently open in four sections: Camber to Ramsgate, Ramsgate to Whitstable, Whitstable to Iwade and Grain to Woolwich. Each section has something unique to offer whether you want to explore Kent and learn it’s history with Quiz Trails, enjoy a meal or overnight stay on the coast with Shepherd Neame or explore a medieval castle with English Heritage. To take look at the prizes in more detail, visit our prizes page here: The England Coast Path Challenge Prizes – Explore Kent

Take a look at our guides to the King Charles III England Coast Path below to decide which section you wish to visit!

For this challenge we will calculate how many times we’ve collectively walked and wheeled along the coast path during the summer, whilst highlighting the many scenic trails and activities we have available to us in Kent. We want to raise awareness of the King Charles III England Coast Path and to encourage everyone with all abilities to do so, however their means of transport is, on crutches, walking aid, mobility trike, wheelchair, powerchair etc. So whether you take a trip to the seaside and walk or wheel along the coastal path yourself, or take a trip around your local park, every walking and wheeling activity will count towards this challenge.

There will be a challenge prize draw every 2 weeks throughout the challenge  so everyone is in with a chance of being rewarded for their efforts!

Prizes include family tickets from English Heritage, an overnight stay or a meal at a Shepherd Neame location along the coast or a choice of 3 Quiz Trails so you can learn more about the history of our coastal towns.
