Pencester Gardens is a small green space in the heart of Dover. Nestled between the shopping areas the gardens offer a central place to meet, sit on a bench, enjoy the views of Dover Castle, or stroll along the river. The play area is popular with families and The River Dour meanders along one edge of the park. There are signs for visitors wanting to join Dover’s River Dour Trail; a four mile (6.4km) walk from Temple Ewell to Dover, passing through Pencester Gardens and Kearnsey Abbey Gardens.
Easy access information
This park and open space has well surfaced routes suitable for visitors with pushchairs and/or wheelchairs, and has no width restricting features, such as stiles or non RADAR kissing gates.
