Bask at the foot of those iconic White Cliffs and look out across the world’s busiest straits. The long shingle beach is ideal for water-sports and even features the Sea Sports Centre, a chance to try your hand at windsurfing, power-boating, raft building and kayaking.

Deckchair hire, fishing and kiosks along the promenade all feature on a trip to the beach here and you’re guaranteed some traditional seaside fayre and sea views at the nearby restaurants.
