We are Kent’s official walking and cycling experts, we love the outdoors and want everyone to explore it! Route development is the place to start.
Developing waymarked, exciting, well-maintained trails, whether it’s for cycling, walking or even canoeing is key to getting more people to discover your area. We’ve got bags of experience working with a range of different groups from town councils and local businesses to local authorities and commercial business. Whether your priority is tourism, landscape, heritage or health, we can help.
If you’re interested in developing or being part of a tourism offer in your area using the outdoors, we work directly with Visit Kent to ensure that your area has the opportunity to become a destination.
Examples of our work
We work exclusively with the Kent County Council Public Rights of Way team to make sure all routes we develop are legally compliant and free from obstruction. We’re the only organisation in Kent who can officially waymark routes, so your trails are clear and easy to follow once explorers are out in the wilds.
Routes in rural areas take you out into nature and that means sometimes nature can take over and the routes need a trim and a tidy. We work with more than 300 Countryside Access Wardens who volunteer keeping out trails spic and span.
Developing a route includes;
- Access to hundreds of high quality images
- OS base mapping
- Bespoke mapping
- Design and print of leaflets
- Audience development
- Featured on the Explore Kent website (on the map and in activities)
- Branding options (branded as Explore Kent or branded with your own brand.
…and we don’t just work in Kent, if you’re interested in developing an outdoor offer for your area get in touch and we’ll see what we can do!
