Join the Medway Climate Response Team and Professor Karen Jones for A Park for Life

Karen Jones is a professor from the University of Kent who works on history and green spaces. She is particularly interested in the heritage value of parks and why they matter to communities past, present and future. This project, ‘A Park for Life’ is all about gaining a better understanding of the relationship between people, place, memory and wellbeing at Jackson’s Field, Rochester.

The workshop will offer talks and discussions, designed to find out how and why people connect with green space, what they know about its history and to ask how our relationship with the space influence how we act in relation to climate change. The end result will be a ‘park noticeboard’ digital artwork, which will be freely available.
