Medway Health Walks and the newly formed Ramblers Wellbeing Walks in Medway believe that walking is the key to a happier and healthier lifestyle. Almost everyone can do it, no matter your age, income, gender or ability. It's the easiest and most accessible form of activity that can become part of your everyday life. We encourage everyone to try a group walk by joining our volunteer led walking groups.

The walk meets by the entrance of Rochester Community Hub

The walk meets on a Friday and will leave at 10:30am.

The Ramblers Wellbeing Walks in Medway (also known as Medway Health Walks) invite you along to one of our regular walks across the Medway Towns.

To help walk leaders and walkers achieve a safe and enjoyable walk, we ask that participants respect any guidelines or pre-planned routes that have already been mapped, walked and risk assessed to ensure the most positive experience.

We also have a number of visitors who come to Medway and join our walks to learn new areas that they can return to in their own time.

Our walks are designed to support those who need to move a little more to benefit their health whilst enabling them to enjoy their local area with the company of others.

When a walk has no walk leader, then we advise you go for a walk yourself so you do not miss out.

First timers will be asked to complete a registration form / details via the walk leader.

Walkers may be told about key areas along the route and any hazards that may be present to the group.

All our led walking routes are risk assessed and although steep hills, steps and very muddy/slippery surfaces are avoided, walkers should be prepared for hills that are relevant to the level of walking, uneven surfaces and slippery terrain.

Grade 4/5: Suitable for walkers who are interested in walking for their health. Walks are around 75 minutes and generally just over 3 miles. Walks will include slopes and less rest stops than the normal grade 3 walks.
