Tonbridge Farm Sportsground
Located to the north of Tonbridge town centre, Tonbridge Farm Sportsground offers a wide range of facilities for outdoor recreation including a ball court, a very popular skatepark, a floodlit all-weather pitch, and cricket and football pitches. For younger visitors, meanwhile, the recently extended children’s play area has equipment for toddlers, juniors and seniors. In addition to swings, a sandpit and an enclosed ball court, there’s a ‘freerider’ which simulates the movement of surfing and snowboarding and a cable way / zipcord.
At approximately 16 hectares in size, there’s plenty of scope for walking along accessible tree-lined pathways. There are picnic tables too, from which you can watch the many teams who play here on the weekend. The Sportsground is also home to Tonbridge Bowling Club and the Tonbridge Angels Football Club, which took up residence here in 1980. The football club has its own self-contained area within the park with a shop, bars, toilets and catering facilities.
The all-weather pitch is big enough for two five-a-side pitches, and can be booked, along with the other sports pitches, via The Angel Centre.
