The Fleet is a small waterway in the centre of Sheerness that runs between two housing estates and to the north of the much larger waterway –Queenborough Lines. A footpath and sustrans cycle path runs alongside The Fleet and access is through pedestrian gates at either end. The waterway reeds attract river wildlife, such as moorhens and a Heron. At present the waterway is part of a much needed programme of improvement to dredge, clean and replant the area.
