Stone Recreation Ground
Managed by Stone Parish Council, Stone Recreation Ground is a traditional local ‘rec’ which includes a children’s playground, a ‘youth zone’ with basketball court, three junior football pitches, two senior football pitches and a cricket square.
Home to Stone Cricket Club a friendly cricket club who play a range of friendly fixtures, and open to players of all ages from 11 to 50+ play friendly cricket every Saturday afternoon. Stone recreation ground is also home to five footballs clubs. The site is used throughout the year and is an important part of community life, with Stone Parish Council being based in the Pavilion, which also provides changing rooms, toilets and facilities for the sports teams. Public events are held here throughout the year, including a fete, car boot fairs and children’s entertainment in summer.
The recreation ground is also home to the Stone war memorial, which can be found at the northern end of the site adjacent to the A226. There is a car park for use during daylight hours, and two entrances which allow disabled access.

This park and open space has at least one accessible route but otherwise is considered to be less suitable for visitors with pushchairs and/or wheelchairs.
