Queenborough Lines is known locally as Canal Bank and it adjoins Barton’s Point Coastal Park, an attractive park with walking trails, cycle paths and bridle ways. The Sheerness Way cycling route runs through the park and along Queenborough Lines. Barton’s Point is also home to the Sheppey Model Engineering Society offering miniature steam train rides and a field for flying model aeroplanes. The pitch and putt golf course, and the pirate themed children’s adventure play area is popular with families all year round. During the summer season the park has a designated area for camping, with changing rooms, toilets and shower facilities. The Boat House Café offers breakfast, lunches, ice creams and refreshments and is open 7 days a week throughout the year.
