Marine Parade and Granville Gardens
Marine Parade & Granville Gardens are located behind a crescent of Georgian buildings next to the beach in the centre of Dover. Statues and mosaics provide plenty of interest as you stroll along, and the whole parade has been landscaped to emphasis the military and nautical history of the town. Dover Castle can be seen perched high on the cliff above the town. Walking and cycling routes pass through Marine Parade and there are prominent signs indicating the various routes out of the town. A variety of yachts and motor boats are moored in Dover Marina, at the end of the Parade. There are also many places to stop for refreshments, including several beach café’s and hotel restaurants. The area is accessible to those with mobility difficulties and there is plenty of parking all along the parade.
