Hempstead Recreation Ground
Hempstead Recreation ground is a square green area located within Hempstead, close to Gillingham.
The greenspace is lined with trees along the outside edges and a wild flower garden along the south side. The Car Park is located to the East side of the park and you enter through a large green gate.
Centrally located in the middle of the recreation ground, you will find Green Gym equipment. A local walking group called Walk in the park: Hempstead meet here to walk and offer advice on how to use the equipment safely.
The play park consists of
- junior and toddler multi-plays
- springers
- swings (including toddler swings)
- adventure trail
- slide
- rope climber.

There is a gate entrance from the main Car Park. There are no Hard surface paths.
