The oldest public park in Tunbridge Wells, Grosvenor Recreation Ground packs a whole host of amenities into a small space. There are excellent play areas for toddlers and juniors (including an enclosed sports area with miniature basketball and football pitches), a junior cycling track and a small ornamental lake complete with ducks and with a backdrop of landscaped ‘dripping wells’.There is a small coffee kiosk next to the bowling green.

The adjacent Hilbert Recreation Ground also offers two full-size football pitches and a BMX/skate park. It is also a designated Local Nature Reserve, and offers wooded walks and marshy reed beds.

Easy access information

This park and open space has well surfaced routes suitable for visitors with pushchairs and/or wheelchairs, and has no width restricting features, such as stiles or non RADAR kissing gates.
