Ellington Park, only a couple of minutes walk from Ramsgate train station and not far from the top of the high street, is a gem nestled in the heart of the town. The park has a range of attractions, including a fenced play area for younger children, and a physical activity area which both children and adults can enjoy! The open grass spaces and tree-lined paths make this park popular with families and dog walkers. There is also a bowling green, an Edwardian bandstand, and a miniature railway line which runs in summer time with small steam powered trains. Access to the park is good by public transport and there is unrestricted parking for cars in nearby residential roads. The park has surfaced pathways running through it and wide access gates at the three entrances. Throughout the year the park also has community events organised by the Friends of Ellington Park, a group of local residents and park users who are committed to improving the facilities and environment of Ellington Park for all users.
