Earley Wood is situated five miles south-west of Canterbury on the west side of a valley running between Petham and Elmstead. It forms part of the North Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers views over countryside to the south. It is a rich mix of coppiced broadleaved woodland with oak, ash, beech, chestnut and occasional sycamore. The wood is owned by The Woodland Trust and is a haven for wildlife and woodland plants.
