Deangate Community Parklands
Deangate Ridge Country Park
Deangate Ridge Country Park, located on the Hoo Peninsula, will be a newly planned community parkland set to transform the site of the former Deangate Ridge Golf Course. This ambitious project, spearheaded by Medway Council, aims to create a substantial public open space of at least 43 hectares, providing a haven for both local wildlife and residents.
Key Features

- Recreational Facilities: Future plans for visitors may include picnic areas, information boards, and a network of safe and attractive routes for walkers, dog walkers, and cyclists. The park will feature 2.5 km of paths, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
- Community Engagement: Medway Council has actively involved the community through public events and online consultations, ensuring that the park meets the needs and desires of local residents.
