Grove Ferry walk – a taste of the garden of England

This gentle stroll strikes off along the banks of the Great Stour, passing the numerous boats that float lazily along the river.
From the Great Stour, your path joins the Little Stour as it arcs across the fields. Your riverside stroll will take in the flowering hawthorn and cow parsley that carpets the banks and orchards which are known for their clouds of blossom and apples.
The circular section of your route traces a path through more orchards and the small settlements of East Stourmouth and West Stourmouth. Among the peaceful lanes of West Stourmouth you’ll discover All Saints’ Church with its Saxon origins and 17th century pulpit.
