Not far from lively Margate, Walpole Bay’s sandy beach offers plenty of rock and tidal pools to explore and delve into.
The glorious sweeping shoreline isn’t the only thing to keep you occupied though, as you’ll find plenty to do in the area surrounding the bay, with mini golf, tennis and indoor bowls to enjoy once the tide has come in. If after a little sand and sunshine you’ve got itchy feet, head along the coast and enjoy sections of Thanet’s premier cycle route, the 32 mile Viking Coastal Trail.
