Medway Culture Club Carnival 2026 is a free, family-friendly community festival celebrating diversity and inclusion across Medway. The event brings together people of all ages to enjoy a vibrant day inspired by the traditions of the Notting Hill Carnival.
Rooted in the cultural legacy of the Windrush generation, the carnival aims to highlight the importance of cultural integration and community cohesion. It showcases music, creativity and shared experiences that reflect the borough’s diverse communities.
Visitors can enjoy a wide range of live entertainment including DJ sets playing carnival classics, steel pan performances, drumming workshops, and samba dance sessions. Colourful carnival costumes, performances, and interactive activities add to the festive atmosphere.
The event also includes creative crafts, face painting, games, limbo, dominoes, raffles, and a variety of food stalls offering international cuisine. It is designed as an inclusive, welcoming day for families and the wider community.
Free entry to the Royal Engineers Museum is included for attendees throughout the day. While the event is free, charitable donations to support Medway Culture Club’s work are welcomed.
