Grove Ferry Picnic Site next to the River Stour and a good base for following the Stour Valley Walk, the Saxon Shore Way or the Wantsum Walks, and is adjacent to Stodmarsh National Reserve. There are also circular walks you can follow from the park. The boat club on the opposite river bank has lots of activity and the picnic site is a popular setting off point for canoeists. If you fancy trying out canoeing, you can hire one or take a guided tour with Canoe Wild. During the summer months you can also take a pleasant boat trip on the River Stour from the Grove Ferry Inn. Visit Grove Ferry River Trips for more information.

Easy access information

This park and open space contains uneven trails, un-surfaced or narrow pathways. Also, there are width restricting features, such as stiles and narrow gaps making it difficult for visitors with pushchairs and/or wheelchairs to access some parts of the site.
