Cycling for Newbies
Getting back in the saddle can be a daunting prospect, but it’s so much fun once you’ve got the hang of it! We’ve got lots of useful information on where you can go to make that first step; from HSBC Ride Social which are guided bike rides for different abilities, to information on confidence building sessions and lessons – no matter your age or ability.
If you haven’t got a bike, you can often find one at reasonable cost from bike jumbles, this will be good enough for you to get started and enjoy the exhilaration of your first ride out on a trail! If your bike has been in the garden shed all winter it’s worth giving it the once over with a bike M.O.T before heading out.
Cycling is a great day out as well as the added benefit of making you feel awesome! It might even cut down your daily commute, with so many cars on the road, take the stress out of travelling and check out Kent Connected to see whether cycling to work, walking into town or taking the bus could save you lots of time and energy as well as burning a few calories. Bonus!
From children, families, solo riders and everyone in between we’re here to get you started on one amazing Summer of cycling! Whether you need a hand to get started or you’re here to find out more about Breeze rides for women or Bike Week then this is the place to be!
And if all that’s not enough check out our events page and discover some great cycling events across Kent.
