This summer we have teamed up with Kent Sport to get you #EverydayActive on a bike!

From the great range of cycling trails at Bedgebury to the beautiful riverside ride along the Medway Towpath, Kent is jammed packed full of beautiful routes for all abilities.

Whether you are a newbie, you need a boost to your confidence or you’re a bit of a pro, you will soon discover how you can make the most of Kent on two wheels. Let’s get started!

Cycling for Newbies

Getting back in the saddle can be a daunting prospect, but it’s so much fun once you’ve got the hang of it! We’ve got lots of useful information on where you can go to make that first step; from HSBC Ride Social which are guided bike rides for different abilities, to information on confidence building sessions and lessons – no matter your age or ability.

If you are new to cycling, you’ll be able to find a learn to ride course run by friendly cycling instructors from Kent County Council. Don’t worry if you haven’t got a bike, as you’ll be able to borrow one. There are also courses to improve your cycling confidence too.

Head down to Cyclopark, Kent’s top of the range multi-sport open-air centre for all abilities, including a skatepark and a kids’ playground. It has the perfect facilities for people of all abilities to learn riding and improve. With all types of biking available from BMX to mountain trails there is endless opportunities to get involved.

With so many cars on the road, take the stress out of travelling and check out Kent Connected to see whether cycling to work, walking into town or taking the bus could save you lots of time and energy as well as burning a few calories. Bonus!
