Public Rights of Way Improvements – Step Free Ramsgate King Charles III England Coast Path Route
The public rights of way team has finished surfacing and signage improvements on the Ramsgate to Whitstable section of the King Charles III England Coast Path. Additionally, many of the circular walks along this section of the coast path can now be more widely accessed. For this Ramsgate alternative step free route, there will be hills. We encourage you to read and look at the map to assess if you feel confident in completing the route yourself.
The step-free route in Ramsgate begins at Madeira Walk, passes in front of the Eastcliff Bandstand, and continues along Marina Road until it re-joins the official England Coast Path (ECP) route. The work completed by Kent County Council and Natural England includes new signage to highlight the King Charles III England Coast Path Step-Free Route and notices to assist with directions.
Take a look at the map below and see how you can use the step-free route to plan your journey. To view the start of this route on the Public Rights of Way map: type this path code into the search bar: TRX6.
