The treasures of Kit’s Coty

Views of the North Downs and Medway Valley stretch out before you, as you wonder at Kit’s Coty House and Little Kit’s Coty House, the remains of two megalithic ‘dolmen’ burial chambers dating back thousands of years. Walking from Cuxton to Detling you will see the magnificent sight of Rochester Cathedral and Castle. Plus, at the height of the trail you will see the salt marshes and aquatic birds swooping above. Travel

Train – Aylesford train station is a 54 minute walk to Kit’s Coty.

Bus – The Lower Bell bus stop is a 5 minute walk to Kit’s Coty. The bus routes nearby include 101, 130, 142, B150.

Parking – there is no car park at either site but it may be possible to park on some of the wider parts of nearby roads or a layby. The sites are about 500 metres apart, accessed via a mix of footpaths and busy roads.
