After lunch set out towards the seaside town of Margate on this guided tour. Lunch at a quaint riverside pub and arrive in Margate just in time to grab a bite to eat and watch the sunset.
Pedal through Canterbury and Paddle
10.30 AM// Meet at Canterbury West Station (parking available for £7.50/day) where you will be introduced to your fellow adventurers before heading off by bike through the stunning medieval city of Canterbury, then through beautiful Woodland on the edge of the city.
Late Morning // Explore Britain’s smallest town then we’ll pick up our crafts, and set off along the scenic River Stour, drifting with the flow of the river. Our bikes will be transported upstream.

After disembarking at Grove Ferry visit Grove Ferry Inn for a bite to eat or two. A warm and welcoming pub serving up delicious food and sunday roasts.

Late Afternoon // Quirky tea shop and garden stop before heading to the coast through a stunning nature reserve.
Early Evening // “Wheel into Margate with big grins born of adventure.”
Either jump on the train back, or stay in Margate, explore, and catch the train back home in your own time. Colin will recommend the best places to eat and drink.

Car parking is available at Canterbury West Train Station (£7.50 per day).
Southeastern trains run regularly back from Margate to Canterbury West.
What’s included: hybrid or mountain bike and helmets supplied by The Bike Shed. A choice of craft to paddle along the River Stour; single or double kayak, or double or triple canoe supplied by Canoe Wild
Please note: you can also bring your own bike.
What to bring: water. Suitable comfy clothing for the weather and a waterproof jacket for the river paddle. Funds for lunch and train back to Canterbury or home.
