Cycle the Wealden Cycle Trail

Spend the morning cycling through the Kentish countryside along the Wealden Cycle Trail. Take on just over 12 miles journey, following National Cycle Routes 1 and 16 from the heart of Ashford through quintessential scenery, complete with hops, apple orchards, oast houses, vineyards and picture postcard villages. This isn’t a route for the novice of riders, due to it’s the amount of inclines, however you ride through the Ashford Green Corridor – these offer perfect family cycling and are ideal locations for novices and young children.

Visit a vineyard

Take the afternoon to savour in some of Kent’s richest flavours with a visit to a local vineyard. Wayfarer Wines is a family run vineyard created by the Ashford family. Together they manage two vineyards totalling just over 8 acres under vine and are known for not producing any sparkling wine, unlike many other vineyards in Kent thanks to the climate in Kent nowadays.
