Volunteer as a Cycle Leader in Medway

Riverside Country Park Cycle Group

22nd February 2018

Medway Council Public Health are on the lookout for volunteers to lead cycle routes around Medway. We currently run five routes-three of these are mainly off road whilst our other two are on road but with very little traffic.

You would be put onto a one day ‘Ride Social’ course with British Cycling which will give you the certificate to be able to lead groups on and off the road.

Our aim is to get more people within Medway active. We do not race on our rides. We stay at a comfortable pace and do not leave anyone behind.

Cycle Leaders will need to have a passion for cycling and be confident with cycling on roads. You will also need to be patient and understanding of other people’s worries and needs as well as being sociable and friendly so that new participants can feel welcomed into the group.

All cyclists are 18 years and over. For more information please contact Laura Greenstreet at cycling@medway.gov.uk or on 01634 333727.
