Volunteer as a Cycle Leader in Medway

Bicycle Group Ride Leader

22nd February 2018

British Cycling and A Better Medway’s cycling project co-ordinators are teaming up to engage and inspire more cyclists to become active within their communities and deliver a network of guided bike rides all across Medway. The online digital platforms that are now available have allowed more adults to easily access a variety of cycling options directly to them.

We are currently looking for new guided ride leaders in and around Medway who enjoy cycling and sharing these benefits with more participants who would like to cycle more regularly. We are also looking for volunteer who would like to inspire more people to get fit, have fun and ride bikes without the pressure of joining a cycling club.

You don’t need to be a cycling expert or a competitive cyclist, just be confident riding in a group and have a level of cycling fitness that’s appropriate to the rides you would like to deliver.

We welcome all kinds of cyclists as long as you have heaps of enthusiasm, a passion for community engagement and happy to support beginner bike riders of all ages.

The training will involve a one-day course qualifying you to deliver a guided bike ride for groups of beginners and intermediate level adults.

All guided ride leaders should be over the age of 18 years old.

Further information about the profile can be discovered on the lets ride volunteer portal.

For more information you may e-mail: cycling@medway.gov.uk
