Throw away the guidebook and immerse yourself in a unique, personalised walking tour of Beachborough Park.
Discover the region’s beautiful countryside, hear the stories along that have shaped the charming Kent community and experience stunning views across the North Downs. Beachborough Park has been home to Rob, your host, for over 30 years — so you’ll enjoy being able to tap into not just his expert knowledge, but also his fascinating stories, personal anecdotes and urban legends.
He’ll reveal the park’s fascinating history, which at one point was the largest estate in Kent. Your group will then set off on foot, following footpaths along the foot of Summerhouse Hill to Frogholt, before reaching the picturesque village of Newington. Along this stretch of the route you’ll hear about the history of the Eurostar’s Channel Tunnel, how it came to be, its intricate construction and the impact it has on the local community.
If time (and hunger!) allows, we’ll also stop off for an evening meal at one of the town’s favourite local pubs, so you can leave having sampled some delicious regional food, along with a newfound sense of well-being and more knowledge and connection with the great outdoors.
