Join us for a walk through the historic landscape of the Medway gap at Wouldham, the site of Britain’s first invasion, the battle of the Medway in AD43. We will talk of wading legionnaires, a lost archaeological treasure trove, and seek out the current inhabitants of the site at low tide, from snipe to seals.

This event is being run as part of a series of events to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Kent Downs AONB and the 40th Anniversary of the North Downs Way, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.   For more information visit The Kent Downs Website
