Overview:

Join us for a beautiful countryside walk beginning in the charming village of Biddenden, nestled in the heart of the Kentish Weald. This peaceful 5.5 mile circular route takes us throughancient woodland, open fields, and past one of England’s most celebrated vineyards. It’s a gentle-paced walk that offers a true taste of rural Kent, with plenty of history, seasonal colour, and sweeping views along the way.

Route Details:

Starting in the historic village of Biddenden—once known for its iron industry and the legend of the Biddenden Maids—we’ll begin our journey along quiet country lanes and woodland paths as we make our way into Goldwell Woods. These woodlands are a haven for wildlife and home to a wide variety of trees, including ancient oaks and sweet chestnuts. From here we’ll take in wide views of the surrounding countryside before reaching the famous vineyards that put Biddenden on the map. This family-run estate has been producing award-winning English wines and ciders since the 1960s.

We’ll then take a gentle loop back through fields and tucked-away footpaths, catching glimpses of historic farm buildings and hidden orchards before returning to Biddenden village. With its welcoming tearooms, medieval church, and local shops, it’s the perfect place to rest and refuel after your walk.

It’s an easygoing route ideal for nature lovers, wine enthusiasts, and anyone looking to explore the quieter corners of the Kent countryside.

Our Women’s Wellness Walks are for all stages of life. Whether you’re going through menopause, dealing with life’s ups and downs, or just looking for connection to people or nature, you’re welcome here, at any age. Our group ranges from 20’s up to late 70s. These walks are a safe and supportive space to spend time in nature and meet others who get it.

It’s not just about getting outside (though the views help!) — it’s about finding good company, having honest chats, and feeling a bit more like yourself. Being outdoors can lift your mood, ease stress, and help you feel better all round — and walking with others makes it even better.

Walk Leader: I experienced a medical menopause in my 20s, which came with a long list of symptoms. This journey led me to train in menopause and nutrition and led to the start of the Women’s Wellness Walks and working full time in the outdoors as a walk leader. I’ve been invited to participate in both medical and retail panels to discuss the physical and mental impacts of menopause, as well as giving talks with Kent County Council, Holland and Barrett, podcasts, radio, local church groups, spas and more.
