A Woman of the White Cliffs

Join Mel Wrigley (local naturalist) who’s been working in science and the nature conservation for over 30 years (she started as a child!!).

Mel will share her enthusiasm for our own ‘Cretaceous Park’ of plants, animals, rocks, fossils (there will be a few specimens to see) and dinosaurs; the making of the iconic White Cliffs and the English Channel.   Share her enthusiasm for working in the coastal countryside.  It might be cold, dress up warm!

MEET: Samphire Hoe Centre, Samphire Hoe is sign posted off the A20 from Dover to Folkestone, CT17 9FL (pay and display parking).

DISTANCE: 1.5 miles (2 hours).

GRADE: 2 (or 5 if we walk down onto the shingle beach).
