We’ll follow the coastal path along the edge of the Swale Estuary, a low-tide landscape of salt marsh, sea lavender, and wide skies. The route is flat, gentle, and full of natural charm. Along the way, you’ll spot weathered boats, oyster beds, seabirds, and perhaps even the soft, golden light that gives this part of the coast its special magic in the evening.
We aim to arrive in Whitstable around sunset — usually a spectacular display over the sea, with the sky turning shades of orange, pink, and violet behind the town’s famous beach huts and fishing boats. After a short pause to enjoy the view, we’ll begin our return to Seasalter as twilight sets in.
