A rare opportunity to explore the fort.

Built in the 1860`s to defend the land to the north of Dover Castle, this site is now managed by the Land Trust who are conserving and opening the site to visitors.

 

LOCATION: Dover, CT16 1HW (TR322423)

DURATION: 2 hours

DISTANCE: 1 mile (1.6 km)

Max. 20 places so book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Stout footwear must be worn, some uneven ground, but nothing strenuous.

Meet at the gatehouse at Connaught Barracks in Fort Burgoyne Road.
