White Cliffs Walking Festival – A Rich Seam – Snap Tins and A Sunshine Walk
It will follow the route the miners took to Tilmanstone Colliery including what was the pit yard. We will visit the remains of the East Kent Light Railway and the abandoned Elvington Halt platform. We will continue on to Tilmanstone village, its church, and pass by North Court and Dane Court (once homes to the Rice family), past the remains of Knowlton Halt, returning along with the Downs to the Community Centre for an optional cup of tea.
