Western Heights Open Weekend

The Drop Redoubt and Grand Shaft will be open to the public.

Napoleonic and second world war re-enactors will be carrying out skirmishes, parades, drills and demonstrations throughout the weekend.

There will also be a Napoleonic camp showing what life was like for an early nineteenth century soldier.

In addition there will be various other stalls and displays.  Astronomers will be on site with telescopes all day and in the evening.

We do recommend sturdy footwear as there are many stairs and uneven surfaces throughout.   As a result, it is unfortunately unsuitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

For more information see www.doverwesternheights.org or Dover Tourist Information Centre on 01304 201066.

CHARGE: For entry to Drop Redoubt – £5 adults, accompanied children free.   Entrance to the Grand Shaft is free.
