Guy Hayward, The British Pilgrimage Trust, will lead this 2.2 mile micro-pilgrimage to Wye beginning with lunch at Brook pub. We will start walking from St Mary’s Church, Brook, with its famous medieval wall paintings, through fields via the ancient holy well of St Eustace (with purification for safe drinking, and possible immersion!) and arriving at our destination, St Gregory’s and St Martin’s Church, Wye, for the Pilgrims Feast (you can book the feast separately here. Guy will sing some pilgrim songs for 15 minutes at 7pm after the Pilgrims Feast.
A fresh approach to the ancient art of pilgrimage, set amid the hidden holy land of rural East Kent.
Open to All (Bring your own Beliefs), this Pilgrimage will include:
- New ways of meeting old Churches
- Group pilgrim songs on the path
- Opportunities for silence
- Rediscovering your place in the British pilgrimage tradition
- Holy and Historic sites
