TOWNS AND DOWNS CIRCULAR WALK

A walk through the urban fringes of Folkestone up onto the North Downs Way National Trail which runs along the hills from which the Sports Centre takes its name.

The walk takes in the historic hamlet of Paddlesworth with a refreshment break at The Cat and Custard Pot pub, a favourite of the fighter pilots and personnel involved in the Battle of Britain.

The walk along the National Trail will offer stunning views across Folkestone and across the English Channel, on a good day France will be visible on the horizon.

DISTANCE: 8 miles (4 hours).
