Join the friendly group, The Tonbridge & Malling Ramblers, for a ramble in the beautiful Kent countryside.

The following Ramblers group walks are for all ages and abilities – all led by experienced walk leaders.  You’re welcome to join them on any of the walks to see if the Ramblers is for you. Then, once you’ve enjoyed the views, fun, exhilaration and good company, it’s just a case of becoming a member.  Make sure you have the right footwear and clothing for the walk you want to do, though.

A Stroll by the River – Sunday 5 July – 5.5 miles – 10am Start – Good views of river, a few stiles at start, a little road walking – From Wateringbury Train Station (ME18 5EA)

Shipbourne Circular – Wednesday 8 July – 6 miles – 10am Start – Moderately paced walk, dogs welcome – From Shipbourne Common (TN11 9PF)

Circular from Loose – Friday 10 July – 6 miles – 10.30am Start – Leisurely walk, dogs welcome – From Loose Village (MW15 0BL)

To the Phillippines via the Bat Cave (Octavia Hill Walk) – Sunday 12 July – 5 miles – 10.30am Start – A couple of gentle climbs and a few stiles, dogs on lead near sheep – From Ide Hill Community Shop (TN14 6DF)

Country Park and Coldrum Stones – Thursday 16 July – 5.5 miles – 10am Start – One steep hill near the end of the walk,  Cafe at end, £1.50 fee – From Trosley Country Park (DA13 0SY)

West Peckham & Mereworth Woods – Sunday 19 July – 6 miles – 10am Start – Through woods, farmland and orchards, road and steep hill at start, crosses Seven Mile lane at Mereworth, could be muddy through Mereworth Woods,  views from Gover Hill, return through orchards to The Swan – From West Peckham Village Green (ME18 5JL)

Lesser Known North Downs – Wednesday 22 July – 6 miles – 10am Start – Lovely walk from a remote country pub, passing through Otterden Place and some unspoiled countryside, some very quiet lanes and woodland, and a country estate (Otterden Place) – From Stalisfield Green (ME13 0JE)

Tonbridge Circular No.6 – Sunday 26 July – 5.5 miles – 10am Start – Pleasant woods as far as Pembury High Street, then fields, woods and orchards – including the mill site Turner might have painted – Pembury Old Church (TN2 4BN)
