An ancient woodland that is made up of a diverse mix of predominantly deciduous trees.

The main tasks here are thanks to a collaboration with Natural England who own and manage the woodland and will be joining us today.

We visit the wood twice over the winter to collect materials (stakes and binders) for our hedgelaying tasks at Romney Warren.

LEADER: Steff D’Agorne, Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership (07864 608825).

MEET: Bournewood car park (the entrance into Hamstreet Woods), Bourne Lane, Hamstreet, TN26 2HH.

Wellies advisable as the woodland can be very wet.  BBQ equipment will be available at lunchtime.
