The Song of the Ash

Ash trees are dying, and our landscape is changing as a result.

This ecopoetry workshop faces that reality head on, and asks how we respond to the situation.  One answer is to connect with what remains.

After a guided walk through ash woodland, we will work on creating poems that explore ash tree ecology and respond to the trees in a direct, sensory way.

In doing so, we will enhance our individual relationships to ash trees, which make up such a huge part of the landscapes that surround us, and which may soon be gone.

This is the first in a series of ecopoetry workshops that will take place as part of The Ash Project.
