History Highlight: Teynham’s name dates back to Roman times, and it was an important agricultural area in medieval Kent. Conyer, once a bustling port for grain and shipbuilding, has its own maritime heritage. As we walk, we’ll trace part of the Saxon Shore Way, a trail that once served as a Roman defence line against Saxon invaders. Established in AD 276, the forts along this path played a key role in Britain’s military defence. Come for the stunning views, stay for the fascinating history! See you there!
