Take part in the Great British Spring Clean

Last year, Gravesham Bourough Council’s street cleansing team removed more than 8-tonnes of litter, sweepings, and fly-tipping from Gravesham’s streets per working day.

Littering is a serious form of anti-social behaviour. It ruins our streets and local environment.

Our teams and brilliant volunteers, work hard all year to combat litter. Sadly, it remains an issue.

Gravesham’s Street Champions

Gravesham’s Street Champions is made up of over 570 volunteers. They work in groups and organise litter picks. In 2023, they collected over 4,000 bags of rubbish.

Take part this spring as we support Keep Britain Tidy’s campaign, The Great British Spring Clean . Organise or take part in a local litter pick, by emailing street.champions@gravesham.gov.uk. We can help by providing equipment and arranging for the rubbish to be taken away.
