Delivered by Buglife this pollinator survey techniques training course aims to enable the effective monitoring of the key pollinator species within the project area and provide an opportunity to gain experience and new skills. The course covers both theoretical and practical skills in pollinator surveying, suitable for beginners and those wanting to refresh their knowledge.

- Important habitat features and how to assess a site for pollinators
- Pollinator identification and recording
- Books and equipment
- Reference collections
- Pollinator monitoring schemes and how to set them up
Car parking charges will be covered by the OCND project, please do not pay at the machine on arrival. Meeting point is in the classroom where you can give your licence number to a member of staff for the parking.
Tea and coffee will be provided on the day, please bring your own lunch or alternatively lunch can be purchased at the country park cafe.
The practical session will take place on chalk banks which are extremely steep, please wear suitable footwear.
