Stour Valley & Kings Wood Walk – North Downs Way 40th Anniversary Celebrations
Walk past All Saints Church at Boughton Aluph and up into the ancient woodland of King’s Wood before arriving in the medieval village of Chilham.

We are pleased to announce the North Downs Way 40th anniversary walks programme, delivered in collaboration with a number of partner organisations.
The walks listed cover the length of the trail so there’s something for everyone whether you want to walk in Surrey, Kent or Medway.
Our walk partners come from a very diverse background and will approach the walks very differently.
Stour Valley & Kings Wood Walk
Walk past All Saints Church at Boughton Aluph and up into the ancient woodland of King’s Wood before arriving in the medieval village of Chilham with its village square at the entrance to the castle. Learn about the landscape and history of the Stour Valley and the wildlife along the way.
MEET: Wye Railway Station at 9.30am – start at Wye and finish at Chillam.
LEADER: Walk led by Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership
DISTANCE: 7 miles
There are two good pubs in Chilham and a tea room for those wanting refreshments at the end of walk.
Easy journey back on the train from Chilham to Wye if you need to get back to the starting point.
