“Rolf Goes Wild” – Rolf Williams
This is a light-hearted and highly popular look at the sorts of creatures you might try to avoid, but which Rolf makes a point of working with, unearthing, or stumbling upon. Lots of pictures and video clips, anecdotes, and fascinating facts about what makes them dangerous – or not!
Location: Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve and Jeffery Harrison Visitor Centre, Bradbourne Vale Road, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 3DH
We start in Florida Everglades and a wildlife encounter which leads Rolf to his latest adventures in the Sky Islands of Arizona looking for rattlesnakes. We then flow seawards to meet larger reptiles, jellyfish and offshore sharks; then eastwards to take in the great white sharks of South Africa, and we end up in Australia to meet one very big bird and the most unlikely near-fatal encounter! The presentation includes a live performance of didgeridoo to a montage of Aborigine cave paintings.
