The journey begins in Hollingbourne, a small village with a rich history dating back to the medieval period.

As we set off, we’ll cross the River Len Weir, a peaceful spot that has long been a feature of the landscape.

The route offers spectacular views of Leeds Castle, which has stood since 857 and has been the home of kings, queens, and nobles throughout the centuries. Although we won’t be exploring the castle itself, we’ll be treated to breathtaking views from the surrounding hills, with its fairytale-like towers rising above the Kentish countryside.

Continuing along the route, we’ll visit the Pilgrims Rest Statue, a notable monument marking the Pilgrim’s Way—a historic path that stretches from Winchester to Canterbury, once travelled by pilgrims on their way to the famous cathedral. This walk offers a wonderful blend of natural beauty and local history, giving you a chance to immerse yourself in both the scenic landscape and the rich stories that have shaped the region over centuries.
