NORTH DOWNS WAY – WYE TO FOLKESTONE
Join us for this walk along one of the most stunning sections of this iconic trail.
Departing Wye we will climb up on to the downs, taking in the Wye Crown and Devil’s Kneading Trough before heading on to the Folkestone Downs, with its rare chalk grassland and recently restored Bronze Age round barrow.
Taking in the breathtaking views of the Channel and Romney Marsh, you will hear about the landscape, history and wildlife of the area.
We will be stopping at the Tiger Inn, Stowting for lunch, where you can either buy food or bring a packed lunch to eat in the garden.
For those needing to get back to the starting point, there are trains that run between Folkestone and Wye, with a change at Ashford.
